Who are the Little Red Ants?

Little Red Ants Creative Studio was formed in 2009 and is the brainchild of Alex, Adeline, Darren and Yan Zhao. The storytellers specialize in the fields of journalism, electronic broadcast, advertising and public relations. They are graduates from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University.

Alex Teh is a seasoned travel photographer who has shot for regional publications such as The Straits Times, Singapore Architect Magazine and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. An adventurer at heart, he retains fond memories of working for ECS Magazine in Nepal during 2008.

Adeline Ong is a photojournalist with a soft spot for social issues. She has done reporting locally for The New Paper and NewMan magazine, and overseas for The Columbia Missourian newspaper. In 2008, she received an award from the Missouri Press Association for her agricultural feature.

Darren Tan is a cinematographer who has produced videos for corporate clients such as DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Singtel and Singapore Airlines. Recently, he won the Asian Television Award for best video project.

Poh Yan Zhao is a design strategist with experience in the fields of marketing and public relations. The recipient of the prestigious Batey Gold Medal in 2009, he enjoyed his previous role as an assistant regional brand manager in Unilever, as well as his stint with Burson-Marsteller in 2008.

Our working partners include various corporate companies, charity organizations and governmental agencies – Singapore Airlines, Singtel, Shell, DBS Bank, Singapore Press Holdings, Swaroski Crystals, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Singapore Land Authority, Maritime Port Authority of Singapore, National Youth Council and Mercy Relief Singapore.
